Over Tamara
Ik ben Tamara, kunstenaar achter Fryske.Art. Ik schilder omdat ik iets wil uitdrukken wat ik niet in woorden kan vatten. Mijn werk is kleurrijk, vol beweging en nooit perfect — net als het leven.

​Ik schilder abstract omdat ik niet hou van binnen de lijntjes werken. Het mag rafelig zijn, rommelig, spontaan. Kleur speelt een grote rol in wat ik maak: veel kleur, soms chaos. Neonroze staat voor de felheid en energie die ik voel, goud voor alles wat waardevol is. En de spetters? Die laten mijn speelse kant zien.​
Wat me inspireert: het water, de wind, de boten waar ik uren naar kan kijken of zelf op vaar. De kracht van zeilen, de rust van golven. De vormen van het vrouwenlichaam, in al haar variaties. Planten die meebewegen met de wind. Alles wat leeft, stroomt en beweegt.​
Friesland is mijn basis. Ik hou van de ruimte, het open water, het vele groen en de frisse lucht. Hier vind ik rust, maar ook richting. De natuur is dichtbij, het tempo is anders, en er is ruimte om te ademen. Dat voel je terug in mijn werk.​
Beweging is wat mij drijft. Ik hou niet van stilstand — niet in het leven, niet in mijn werk. Wat ik maak, komt recht uit mij als vrouw, als moeder en als mens.​

About Tamara
I’m Tamara, the artist behind Fryske.Art. I paint because I want to express something I can’t put into words.
My work is colourful, full of movement, and never perfect — just like life.
I paint abstract because I don’t like staying within the lines. It can be rough, messy, spontaneous.
Colour plays a big role in what I create: bold, sometimes chaotic. Neon pink stands for the energy and fire I feel,
gold for everything that holds value. And the splatters? They show my playful side.
What inspires me: the water, the wind, the boats I can watch for hours or sail myself. The power of sailing, the calm of waves.
The shapes of the female body, in all its variations. Plants that move with the wind. Everything that lives, flows, and moves.
Friesland is my home base. I love the space, the open water, the lush green and the fresh air.
Here I find peace, but also direction. Nature is close, the rhythm is different,
and there’s room to breathe. You’ll feel that in my work.
Movement is what drives me. I don’t like standing still — not in life, not in art.
What I create comes straight from me, as a woman, a mother, and a human being.
